My Bio
Gardner Francis Fox (1911 to 1986) was a wordsmith. He originally was schooled as a lawyer. Rerouted by the depression, he joined the comic book industry in 1937. Writing and creating for the soon to be DC comics, Mr. Fox set out to create such iconic characters as the Flash and Hawkman. He is also known for inventing Batman‘s utility belt and the multi-verse concept.

At the same time, he was writing for comic books, he also contributed heavily to the paperback novel industry. Mr. Fox wrote in all of the genres; westerns, historical romance, sword & sorcery, intergalactic adventures, and even erotica.

thanks for the :+fav:
So who are YOU then?  I mean, you're obviously not Gardner F. Fox...  I've never seen a DeviantArt account used like this, and I don't see how this content belongs here.  Isn't DeviantArt intended as an art site, where artists, writers, photographers and other creatives show their own original work?    Are you just here to promote your favourite writer?
I'm a Fantasy Artist named Kurt Brugel.
:iconkurtbrugel:
I'm promoting Mr. Fox's writing in the hopes to get others interested in illustrating his stories.
I'm currently working on one of his short stories called: The Return of Dargoll.
I've been using DA for years and I'll admit that I'm trying to figure out how to share his work without it looking fraudulent.
I have digitally transcribed 31 of his 150 paperbacks so far. You can check them out www.gardnerffox.com/
If you have any other questions please feel free to post.
Thank you :)
Nice to meet you, Kurt.  Brugel... that's a resonant name for an artist!  :)  Not descended from the Brueghels, by any chance?
I've visited your DA gallery, and there's lots of fine stuff there... And in traditional materials too, a great love of mine, especially in this digital age.  I'll be back for a proper look when I have more time.  I'm much more interested in your work than in that of G.F. Fox, to be honest.  Well, I've more than said my piece on that subject; thank you for taking it so well.

What's that phrase I read in a book once..   Multa pinxit, hic Brugelius, quae pingi non possunt..  How good is your latin? :D

All the best,
~monty
I am a descendant of the Brueghels :)
Great latin!
I too am on the lookout for strong traditionalist in this digital age.
Thank you for sharing.
Kurt :)

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound so unfriendly;  you're free to do as you like, of course, but I do question whether DeviantArt is the right place for this.  You will find that most people here will generally assume this is your work, unless you state very clearly that it is not, and the way you are presenting yourself as Gardner F Fox himself is likely to lead to misunderstandings, that's all I meant to say.
No worries :) Like I said, I'm at the beginning of figuring this whole thing out. I'm looking forward to any feedback given. Your inquiry has me thinking now...
